Thank you for believing in Christiansburg Run Club!

Our run club is about community. That’s it: making friends in a town where togetherness is so desperately needed.

My name is Jonathan Roberts. I’ve met most of you! I co-founded our run club with Morgan Corl and Sara Yun years ago.

I realized recently that I haven’t talked about Christiansburg Run Club much lately, despite the meetups being the absolute highlights of my weeks and our quiet growth over time.

Running is magic. It’s connected me to the smartest, kindest, most genuine people I’ve known. The club is growing strong with walks and runs most days of the week. There’s a whole “morning crew” that I don’t even see, even. You all rock.

More than the activity, though, it’s the community. We’re thriving. People have made lifelong friends out of it—I know I have too. There’s more group chats than I can name, kids that are growing up together, and a sense of pride in all of this that transcends the simple events we do.

I don’t know where this thing will go and I don’t care at all. To everyone who’s been a part of this or will soon: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. See you tonight, I hope!
